As technology has evolved, so has the standard screen. Today there are many products which aim to make the screen a more functional part of the product, whether it's Petscreen for your sliding patio door, or BetterVue for your screen enclosure, you can customize your screen to get the most out of its operation over traditional Aluminum and Fiberglass wire.

Aluminum

The classic screenwire, aluminum has been used in window screens for as long as windows have been manufactured. It's a mesh that will not tear easily and is an excellent value.

Fiberglass

Fiberglass is a somewhat newer technology. That screen wire is actually a cloth mesh that's woven together. While it will not dent or rust, because it's a cloth it is slightly more prone to tearing when compared to aluminum wire.

Petscreen

Petscreen is perfect for products where pets could get at the screen and tear it. It's most popular in Patio sliding door screens and storm doors, but have been used in all applications.

Also functions as heavy-duty insect screening
Good outward visibility

BetterVue

A new screenwire, BetterVue uses a finer fiberglass mesh to appear less visible than traditional meshes, despite having openings that are 30% smaller, and 5% more open. This offers superior insect protection and gives a better view of the outside.
